No Man's Land
Bidu is a second generation Hindu Bangaladeshi migrant, who lives near the Indo-Bangladesh border at Bholaganj, Meghalaya, India. In this documentary film he shares his story of how he became a millionaire by transporting limestone across the border and lost it all in 'Teer' (a local form of gambling in meghalaya, where the winner is decided by a blindfolded archer shooting arrows at random numbers). Part of a 5 part series of short films from the No Man's Land project. A collaborative social Public art project between Indian and Bangladeshi artists, held at the Indo-Bangladesh border. This project was supported by Britto Arts Trust, Dhaka and Shelter promotion council, Kolkata. It was also recently exhibited at the India Art fair, 2017 in New Delhi, India and Dhaka Art summit, 2017 in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
